SO... ABOUT LARPVENTURE!
Are you ready for a larpventure?
We are starting a larp production studio based in Poland. Our goal is to bring good quality games in terms of narrative, design, production, and player experience. We also want to create a professional and empowering work environment for everybody engaged in our projects.
The dream was growing in our minds for a long time, shaped by over 15 years of larp experiences and projects we took part. The spark ignited during Portal Larp Conference 2022 in Kraków, and it's taking shape into something we think larps and larpers need since then.
Our values
What is larp?
It's a more elaborate and structured format of make-believe or play-pretend. Participants role-play fictional characters and together create engaging stories through actions and choices. Larp may involve scenic locations, costumes, props and special effects to make the experience more immersive. The most important is: in larp, every character is the protagonist, and the players decide on their journey.
Larps come in many forms and shapes: two-hour freeform games without any costumes or props, weekend blockbuster larps in castles, hundreds-players battle larps, and ongoing larp series lasting for years, to name a few.
Do you want to learn more? We got you covered!
We believe that larp has a bright future
We want to change the perception of larp from silly-kids-play-in-the-woods to a taking-shape and growing industry for immersive entertainment and serious storytelling. We've witnessed, partaken and created larps that bring life-changing experiences, meaningful human connection, change of perspective, personal growth, new skills and practical knowledge.
Although the stories are fictional, experiences and emotions are real. That's why larp is such an engaging and effective way to learn new things, discover new ideas, check new approaches, make hard decisions, and face failure. Thanks to larps, we can learn from our mistakes without meeting real-life consequences.

We take larps seriously
We created LarpVenture because we believe larps should have a longer life span and be more accessible to a broader audience. That is possible only with a professional approach to larp production, rerunning and improving the games, creating workflows and knowledge transfer. That's why we want to rerun good larps, curate new projects, design our own larps, and cooperate with other creators.
As a not-for-profit company, we are not planning to earn profit for the owners. The profits will cover all the expenses, wages and royalties, ensuring the company's sustainability and growth. And in the future, allow us to run more larps, employ more people, and organise internships.
We care for larp creators
As larp designers and producers, we believe larps can be more than just a hobby. It can be a way of life, profession and field of expertise. Yet, talented, experienced and hardworking specialists are usually not paid for their work as they would be working in their vocations in other industries. Many work after hours, under pressure, compromising their private life. They are rewarded only by larp success, their satisfaction and participants' hype. But that's not always a given. This leads to getting overwhelmed with responsibilities, frustration and burnout.
Our long-term goal is to cut down on voluntary work, create space for larpers to run their larps and eventually get paid fairly for the amount of work they do.

We dream big but want to make it right
Since LarpVenture it's quite a complex idea, we are taking one step at a time to provide you with the best solutions we can offer to the larp community. We want to build strong foundations, figure out the right direction, plan a clear communication strategy, and embark on the people who share our vision and love for larping. Acknowledge all possible bumps and mistakes we might meet on the way.
It's the biggest larpventure we've been to so far!

Meg Pomorska
Customer Service Officer. Her activities center around player wellbeing, communication and knowledge management.
Born and raised in the city of freedom – Gdańsk. From an early age she has always liked knowing anything about everything – and that hasn’t changed. Her superpower is nitpicking and finding ways to improve.
Most of her skills concerning teamwork comes from scouting thanks to which she developed – and practiced – interest in journalism and PR. Scouting showed her the role of effective communication in event management (and how important it is to always have a pocket knife and a band-aid on you). Thanks to that, her first “real” job experience was editing the news on the website, working in events industry (city games and recreation for children and youth). These experiences guided her towards education and occupation performed the longest – speech-language pathologist. Working with children with developmental delay showed her how much depends on if we can understand each other, how important is adapting ways of communication to the needs of the recipient, and lastly how valuable having a trusted and competent team is.
She first came in contact with larps through BlackBox3City in 2015 and quickly became engaged when it turned out that larps do not only let you feel a wide variety of emotions and experiences, but also give the opportunity to create such experiences for others.
In 2017 together with Jakub Krassowski, she went to BattleQuest to help with running the inn and that’s how Pod Owczarkami was started – semi-professional larp catering, first initiative of this kind in Poland. With a clear mission for the food at larps to be good, inclusive and immersive – they created a step-by-step guide helping design catering aspect of the events inside and out. They have also led such workshops during the Konferencja Larpowa twice.
Meg regularly collaborates with Stymularpy which allows her to use her strive for optimization, ensuring comfort, safety, and wellbeing, as well as fondness for multi-sensory experiences outside the kitchen.

Anna Wiśniewska

She played her first larp in 2014 and has played over 150 characters since then. She likes emotional stories that stay in memory for a long time. She pursues her interest in larps not only as a player. As part of the LubLarp group, she helped organize subsequent editions of the Lublin LARP festival. While working on summer camps inspired by the world of Harry Potter, she coordinated a story camp during which the youth participants larped for two weeks.
She professionally analyzes and optimizes online advertising campaigns for brands such as BMW, Philips, and Otodom. Thanks to his experience in video production, he supports LarpVenture in preparing such materials.

Bartosz Głowacki
Supports larp production, set design, and logistics.
He began his journey with LARPs in 2004 at Orkon – the oldest LARP convention in Poland. Since then, he has been continuously developing his passion. Since 2012, he has been involved with Wioska Fantasy, the oldest LARP area in Europe. At first, he supported the expansion of Wioska and co-created LARPs and other events, and since 2016 he has been the co-owner of this unique place. It was there that he learned that LARPs are not just about scripts and costumes, but entire worlds that must be built – with attention to every detail.
He started co-organizing LARPs with a series of winter games set in the Game of Thrones universe at Wioska Fantasy. The international LARP HØST also took place there, where he was one of the main organizers. His portfolio also includes Drachenfest – the second-largest LARP in the world, where together with the whole team he has been responsible for set design, construction, and logistical support for over 10 years. In recent years, he has also created set designs for the Frostpunk LARP. He knows how to immerse players in a story and blur the line between fiction and reality, down to the smallest detail.
His skills have long extended beyond the LARPs. He has worked with Tentorium / RoboMadeProps, creating props and set designs for major international film productions. His portfolio includes, among others, set elements prepared for the film “How to Train Your Dragon”, as well as props he personally crafted for “The Northman”. In Poland, he co-created props and special effects for the third season of the Netflix series “1670”. His talent has also been recognized by cultural institutions. As part of the “Costumes of Authority / Dress to Impress” project, he crafted reconstructions of early medieval regalia, which were exhibited in prestigious museums such as the Louvre and the Bode Museum. He tries to combine craftsmanship with artistic vision, which makes his projects stand out for their authenticity and attention to atmosphere. He always gives his best and knows how to turn imagination into reality.

Julia Karcz
Responsible for producing and coordinating larps, ie.: The Creeping Night, and Krystalium: Voices in the Dark.
Julia has been involved in larps since 2011, but began creating her own larps in 2018. Since then, she has written her own games and coordinated or supported the production of others, often taking on roles such as logistician, storyteller, or team coordinator. Growing up in a geek family in Silesia, she developed an early interest in board games, RPGs, video games, and films. Her academic background in film and television production supports her practical approach to organizing larps in a more functional way and immersive experiences for players.
Julia is especially drawn to the way larps can engage players senses to deepen immersion and emotional depth that larps can offer players. As a player she absolutely adores dystopian themes on larps, but recently she is more seen in the role of an organizer rather than a player.

Kaja Faber
Responsible for coordinating larps, ie.: Cyberpunk 2077: City of Change, and Frostpunk: The Last Recon.
A graduate of cultural studies (University of Wrocław) and religious studies (Jagiellonian University), she is a narrative designer and former QA in the games industry, and a passionate LARPer and Game Master.
She stumbled upon LARPs almost 20 years ago by accident, and they quickly became one of the most essential passions in her life. Since 2017, she has co-founded the scriptwriting team of the largest post-apocalyptic LARP in Europe – OldTown. For over a decade, she also developed her interests in historical reenactment groups from the 9th to 11th centuries, and over time, she has become increasingly involved with RPGs and creating her own stories. She definitely prefers to be on the other side of the curtain – as an NPC or scenario writer – rather than as a player.
Her career path led her to the game development industry. She worked as a QA on Microsoft projects and then at CD Projekt Red, where she was part of the Cyberpunk 2077 team from patch 1.5 and the Phantom Liberty expansion. Currently, she focuses on writing LARP scenarios – both for the gaming community and commercial events – and leading RPG sessions.
She creates narratives that demand not only words but also emotion and the full engagement of participants. She can transport people to another world – whether at the table or running through the forest with a fake grenade.
In her free time, she is a fan of fantasy and science fiction, a fan of the Star Wars and The Expanse universes. In her free time, she paints, crochets, and celebrates good food, convinced that she will always be a hobbit at heart.
