Solarpunk larp about hope, love, and community

17-20 September 2026 | Poland

In a world that tells us the future must be grim, we’re planting a different story. A wholesome story set in a sun-drenched community where nature is thriving, love is kind, and no one is left behind.

The World

Solore may bring to mind Horizon Zero Dawn, Sloosha’s Crossin’ from Cloud Atlas, the frontier worlds of Rebel Moon. Here, the old world is dust. We live by Sol’s rhythm, harvest its warmth, and guard the last traces of forgotten tech that keeps our world alive - the Solore. Life slows down, ageing is gentler, and communities are multigenerational. Identity, relationships, and function in the community are not based on gender, but on the Currents that characters attune to.

What makes Solore a unique experience

The Genres

“Solore lives at the intersection of three dreams - of the world we could build, the courage to keep building it, and the beauty that makes it worth living in.”

Solore has three pillars to help us build a shared experience and a cohesive story, define the tone and aesthetic of the larp.

Solarpunk imagines what happens when we stop asking “How bad can it get?” and start asking: “What if we did things right?”. It’s a vision of the future where we’ve faced the climate crisis - and won.

Hopepunk frames hope, compassion and care as acts of strength. Hope isn’t naive - it’s chosen, crafted, and defended, where positive change is possible and the good will triumph.

Cottagecore finds beauty in simple life, handmade things, the rhythm of communal life and harmony with nature: gardening, growing crops, baking bread, and mending clothes.

The Generations

“We grow, we change, we remember. Sometimes we start again.”

Every person in Solore belongs to a generation that is not decided solely by age, but also by calling. A generation marks the way one relates and contributes to the community. These are not fixed roles, but living stages; one can shift with time, love, or loss, or stay true to one path forever.

The Currents

“Light is not one thing. It burns, it rests, it dances. We are no different.”

Every person in Solore attunes to one Current - a representation of a way their light, their energy moves through the world. Attunement isn’t destiny; it’s a rhythm of being. People can shift Currents with seasons, with strong emotions like love or grief, or with new purposes. Or stay attuned to one Current for life, like a steady frequency.

“Sit closer.” The Keeper’s face was hidden beneath layers of cloth, shielding their skin from the morning Sol. “They cannot wait for another harvest to leave the nest. You are a Glow, so your heart doesn’t want to let them go. But the Currents of Life move through us all, and it is your child’s turn to find their own rhythm.”

The Builder sighed, but the Keeper’s voice remained firm. “Remember — you, too, were a Seeker once. And a Blaze, reckless and burning bright with discovery and fear, guided by your Current. Today, your child must do the same: step into the unknown, find their path, and choose whether to return or join a new home with kin they meet along the way. Your love does not hold them back; it gives them roots to grow and wings to fly.”

A frail, gloved hand lifted the veil, revealing the Keeper’s eyes for the first time since the council chose them. “Since I donned this veil, I have guided this ritual many times. But no one here knows I have walked it twice myself. Twice, I left what I loved. Twice, I returned changed, carrying secrets and stories no one else could bear.”

The Keeper’s lips curved into a sad smile, a shadow of memory crossing their face. “I’ve learned that what you want is not always what you need. You may wish to keep them close, but the love they will give cannot flourish if you hold them back from finding their own Current and spreading their wings.”
